November 28 “Creating a Sustainable Ecosystem for Armenian Fashion and Textile Industry” project was officially launched with participation UK Chargé d'Affaires David Moran, high-level government officials, sector experts, Armenian designers, and textile producers, as well as local and international partner companies.
The two-year project is focused on upgrading technical and business skills in Armenia’s fashion and textile industry, promoting international and local market penetration, the creation of new jobs, and sustainable supply chain production based on the recycling model. The project is implemented by the “Fashion and Design Chamber of Armenia” NGO and funded by the UK’s Good Governance Fund (GGF) with UK aid from the British people.
The main international partners of the project are Fashion Scout and Eco-Age, based in the UK. To guarantee sustainability the project will establish a working mechanism of collaboration and public-private dialogue with the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, sector-related associations and other stakeholders in the fashion industry sector.
