


Nune Chukhajyan is the founder of the brand Nune Chukhajyan Handmade. Nune was born and lives in Yerevan. From a young age, she loved sewing, embroidering, and knitting, yet she also dreamed of becoming a doctor. After finishing school, she entered the Medical University, graduated, and became a doctor. She worked in her profession for a long time until she realized that she wanted to create unique clothing and accessories, fulfilling her long-held dream. Thus, in 2016, the brand Nune Chukhajyan Handmade was born. In her creative endeavors, the designer employs a variety of techniques, including nuno felting, laminating, monotyping, collage, eco-printing, botanical printing, recycling, and bead embroidery, achieving impressive results in creating memorable designs. By experimenting with different materials such as wool, silk, viscose fibers, bamboo, linen, nettle, eucalyptus, lace, yarn, and various fabrics, Nune exclusively handcrafts unique, one-of-a-kind creations. Her work soon became popular among those who value individual and authentic clothing styles. The designer has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Armenia and abroad: - In 2017, exhibitions at Art Bridge and Muraba in Yerevan. - In 2018, an exhibition at Arts Crossroad Gallery, Zurich, Switzerland. - In 2019, she participated in the International Competition "Felt Inspiration", where she was a prize winner in three categories, taking first place for Outerwear, Bags, and Jackets/Vests. - That same year, she participated in the first Felt Festival in Armenia. - In 2021, she received a Certificate of Recognition for Artistic Merit for her participation in the Luxembourg Art Prize 2021. The designer also conducts workshops. Her most recent project was a three-month course for women from Artsakh, organized by the Teryan Cultural Center. Today, Nune Chukhajyan Handmade is a brand recognizable at first glance, standing out with its sophisticated color combinations, sense of style, balance, and taste.
