A press conference ahead of the Yerevan Fashion Week took place on June 23. The first Fashion Week will be held in Armenia, which will bring together more than 20 Armenian designers, as well as representatives of the foreign fashion world, experts, and international media, including Vogue Italy, Wear UK, ELLE Italy, Marie Claire Arabia, Lemile Germany, FAULT Magazine, L'Officiel Italy, Fucking Young! and many others. Yerevan Fashion Week is funded by The Ministry of Economy, GIZ Private Sector Development and TVET South Caucasus Programme, UK international development provided by the British Embassy Yerevan and private sponsorship through VREMENA GODA, LA BIOSTHETIQUE Paris, Schweppes, ArtLife. Answering the questions from the correspondents, the head of the Fashion & Design Chamber of Armenia (FDC), designer Vahan Khachatryan said that before the coronavirus pandemic, the Chamber held 2 consecutive years of fashion forums that contained an educational component and were aimed more at sharing the experience with international fashion experts. Vahan Khachatryan expressed gratitude to all the partners who supported the organization of the first Fashion Week in Yerevan. It should be reminded that Yerevan Fashion Week will be held from July 1 to July 6 at the HayArt Cultural Center (7a Mashtots Street). The participants of the Fashion Week will enjoy exquisite shows of collections of recognized designers in the fashion industry, the Fashion Scout Armenia competition for young designers, as well as many other exciting events. The public will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition halls, where more than 50 Armenian brands are represented, take part in panel discussions, and admire unique exhibitions. The Fashion and Design Chamber plans to make this event an annual event.
